The role of technology in the classroom should be to energize and invigorate students and to encourage them to learn and be active participants in that process. In this presentation, I will discuss the use of student response systems (SRS), particularly iClicker Reef, in an active classroom and how iClicker Reef supports not only content mastery, but also provides a important conduit for instructor-student communication. I will also share how I use iClicker Reef to support learning and as a vital communication tool to develop and maintain a positive learning environment.
