The popularity of student response systems continues to grow at San Jose State University for upper- and lower-division courses, and both large and small class sizes. As polling technology evolves and matures, new features are added. Which features are being utilized and are they relevant? What does the research show? What are considered best practices? After comparing several available “clicker” polling systems and their features, I will present the SJSU experience, including clicker usage, and examples from faculty and student perspectives. Participants are encouraged to add to the discussion by sharing their insights, experiences and expectations for successful implementation and growth in their institutions.
