UC Berkeley recently completed Connie & Kevin Chou Hall, a 6 story classroom and event space for the Haas School of Business. The building features 12 new classrooms, 38 group study rooms and premiere event space on the top floor. This building has deployed state of the art AV equipment throughout including laser tracking of professors, a centralized fiber video distribution system and a variety of exciting features. But what does it take to get a building like this online? How do you coordinate all the vendors, faculty, and staff? This presentation will cover the exciting new technology deployed in the classrooms of Chou Hall, but more than that the effort to bring it online, including considerable lessons learned in the design, installation and implementation phases of the project.
