Bending the Curve: Climate Change Solutions is a hybrid course that launched in January at the University of California, and has run on five UC campuses as well as at SDSU and MiraCosta College. Organized around 18 original lecture videos from 23 UC scholars, it looks at approaches to solving global warming through disciplines ranging from religion, economics, and health care to energy and transportation policy. In this presentation we’ll share the practical and pedagogical considerations that informed the design of this cross-disciplinary course. We’ll share how we managed to produce over a hundred media assets through the participation of 10 campus video production units. Finally, we’ll discuss how we plan to share this course with other institutions across California and beyond.
